Welcome to Broxtowe Ramblers Website. We're part of the Ramblers, the charity that helps everyone, everywhere enjoy walking. We're dedicated to looking after paths, leading walks and encouraging everyone to get outside and discover how walking boosts your health and your happiness.
The Broxtowe area of Nottinghamshire includes Attenborough, Beeston, Chilwell, Cossall, Eastwood, Greasley, Kimberley, Nuthall, Stapleford, Toton, Trowell and Watnall.
We have a regular walks programme with walks on Wednesdays and Sundays; these walks vary between 4-5 miles and 10-11 miles in length. There is often a choice of walks on Wednesdays, all walks are led by volunteers. Leaders details are given in the walk details in the programme - just click on the Walks tab then walk programme. There is no need to book but please choose a shorter walk if you are new to walking.
There are also coach trips and other social activities.
Our photos are on Facebook accessed via the icon on the right side of this page.
We welcome new walkers of all ages and abilities, so come and join us!
The coordinators are now starting to think of compiling the next programme covering January to end of April 2018 so please submit your contributions to Ken (Wednesday walks) or Susan (weekend walks). If you have not submitted a walk before then please consider it, the coordinators will be pleased to give advice; please bear in mind you must be a member to lead a walk.
Short walks closer to home are best for the Winter/Spring programme as weather can be mixed and daylight short.
The Nottinghamshire Guided Walks Programme now also available on www.nottsguidedwalks.co.uk Plenty to choose from going on into Autumn.
The Attenborough footpaths crossing the railtrack - good news on this! There has been a reprieve - Network Rail appear to have had a re-think and safety will be improved.
