Welcome to Broxtowe Ramblers Website. We're part of the Ramblers, the charity that helps everyone, everywhere enjoy walking. We're dedicated to looking after paths, leading walks and encouraging everyone to get outside and discover how walking boosts your health and your happiness.
The Broxtowe area of Nottinghamshire includes Attenborough, Beeston, Chilwell, Cossall, Eastwood, Greasley, Kimberley, Nuthall, Stapleford, Toton, Trowell and Watnall.
We have a regular walks programme with walks on Wednesdays and Sundays; these walks vary between 4-5 miles and 10-11 miles in length. There is often a choice of walks on Wednesdays, all walks are led by volunteers. Leaders details are on the Walks Finder. There is no need to book but please choose a shorter walk if you are new to walking.
There are also coach trips and other social activities.
Our photos are on Facebook accessed via the icon on the right side of this page.
We welcome new walkers of all ages and abilities, so come and join us!
We now have our new Committee! A warm welcome to our new Chair, Secretaries, Area Representative and Footpaths officer. We also have two new Committee members. Please see the Committee members page for details. A big thank you to our retiring Committee members.
Network Rail intends to close 3 pedestrian crossings in Attenborough, these are Barratts Lane (No1 crossing), Long Lane and the nature Reserve crossing in Meadow Lane. Our Footpaths Officer has this matter in hand.
Broxtowe Ramblers successfully hosted Nottinghamshire Area AGM on 5th February 2017. A very good well attended meeting was held at Greasley Parish Hall near Eastwood. Both walks attracted many walkers, the weather was kind to us, the beautiful cakes were enjoyed by all! Thanks to all who helped.
